The place is nice, not memorable! Food was okay, steak was chewy. Potatoes bland. The crab cake was delicious as well as the wedge salad. Expensive place! Corkage fees of $30 per bottle!! Parking is extremely hard to find as it is just street parking.
The vibe is loud! Not intimate dinner as we had thought. A table of 10 was next to us and all we heard at OUR table was there cursing!! Place is clean, cute for Carlton. VERY casual atmosphere. Lack of charm.
Excellent!! My wife and I went here on a date night and the food and service were beyond good. We started off with oysters, a mahi mahi ceviche, and house made bread with compound butter: all excellent. The main courses were even better. The seafood risotto was cooked perfectly and full of delicious shrimp and crab. The NY strip was cooked to perfection and was one of the best steaks I've had in a long time. Wine was great too. And the service was superb: attentive and friendly staff with a relaxed and well timed meal. We will be back!!
I had a great meal. Started with a cocktail and mushroom soup. This was followed with a wonderful halibut entree and a glass of wine. The dessert was a chocolate torte to die for. It was a wonderful evening. The only thing is it gets noisy if you're seated in the back area. It's hard to hear one another. But the food is outstanding and the wait staff is wonderful.
Was looking for a good sea food restaurant in the area and Google maps didn’t let me down. This restaurant is located in a retired fire house and the ambiance is very cool. The restaurant had a very large selection of seafood options along with meat options. The wine list had many options as well. The food was delicious. The drinks were nicely made and our waiter (Christian) was very knowledgeable about their wine options. Everything we ate was fresh and prepared perfectly. The Alaskan king crab legs were definitely worth the price. I highly recommend dining at this restaurant if you are in the area, but I would make reservations. This is $$$-$$$$ priced restaurant.
The best restaurant in all of Carlton! Nice atmosphere, excellent service, superb food. Patio seating in back. Custom cocktails. Impecable bathrooms. Open kitchen allows us to see all the cooking—fun! The food menu has a good variety of fancy appetizers and elegant entrees. The wine list has a variety of Oregon wines. Make reservations ahead of time.
If you choose to give a thumbs-up 👍🏽 or not, I hope you found my review helpful!
I recently dined at Earth & Sea, and overall, I had a decent experience. The restaurant's atmosphere was quite lively, but unfortunately, the noise level was just too loud for my taste. The service, however, was fantastic. The staff were attentive and prompt, making sure that we had everything we needed throughout our meal.
In terms of the food, the flavors were okay but didn't quite wow me. While the dishes were well-prepared and presented beautifully, I was hoping for a bit more in terms of taste. That said, the ingredients were fresh and of good quality, and I appreciated the attention to detail in the presentation.
Despite the loud ambiance and average flavors, I still enjoyed my time at Earth & Sea. The excellent service made up for some of the shortcomings, and I appreciated the effort put into creating a pleasant dining experience. If you're looking for a lively restaurant with good service and decent food, Earth & Sea might be worth a visit.
Absolutely the best food in Carlton. If you’re looking for carefully curated, mind-blowing flavors, look no further. From the tasty ceviche to the house made gnocchi to the beef tartare and the chocolate torte, everything about our meal was delicious. We both agreed this was THE best meal we’ve ever had. This place is a must visit when you come to Carlton!
Stopped in while visiting this town - I got the crab mac, my boyfriend got the house made gnocchi and we shared the bread appetizer. Everything was good. Was pleasantly surprised that the ratio of mac to crab was equal and not just a few chunks of crab here and there. We stopped in on a week night, so it wasn’t very busy and fairly quiet, so we could have good conversation. Cute place and very expensive - I am not sure I’d say the dishes should be priced as high, but I take into consideration it being a small town(?) - I mainly say this about price because we have been to Hell’s Kitchen and the Beef Wellington at Hell’s Kitchen was less than what Earth and Sea had theirs listed for and I mean…. Cmon, can’t top The Gordon Ramsay wellington!
